December 15, 2011… Kenya’s 2010 hockey champions pulled a previously unimaginable result on the final day of the mens pool matches in the on going Africa Club Cup Championship in Lusaka, Zambia.

Having trailed 2 – 0 at halftime and again trailing 4 – 2 with only 4 minutes to the buzzer, the university students turned on all their reserves to end the tie, 4 minutes later, with a 6 – 4 margin.

Strathmores striking sensation, Davis Wanangwe rose up to the occassion, scoring 3 goals in 3 minutes to finish the match with 4 goals to his name and a victory to Strathmore. Tony Nyukuri added to the Ghanian misery by scoring the 6th goal in the 70th minute.
